From the first call to the first session — and everything after.
We can’t promise how you’ll feel in six weeks. Nobody honest can. What we can promise is how we work.
Six steps, no admin ambush.
You get in touch.
Call, book online, or send us a note. Reception (or Sarah, our intake coordinator) takes about 15 minutes on the phone — long enough to hear what’s going on, short enough that you’re not on hold about your own life.
We match you to the right person on the team.
Based on what you’ve told us, we suggest one of our psychologists, OTs, speech pathologists, or physios. If we’ve got it wrong, we say so — and we walk you across to the right person. No second intake form, no repeated story.
We check your funding with you, before you pay anything.
Medicare, private health, NDIS, DVA, WorkCover, self-funded — whichever applies to you. We tell you the gap (or lack of one) in plain words. If it doesn’t stack up, we’ll say so and help you think about alternatives.
You fill in a short intake form.
Four to six minutes. Nothing required beyond your basics. Everything else is optional — say as little or as much as you want. Whatever you write becomes your file. Everyone on your team reads it before they meet you, so you don’t have to explain yourself twice.
Your first session.
Your clinician opens with what they already know about you from your intake — so you’re already ten minutes in. At the end, they’ll tell you plainly whether they think we can help, what a reasonable next few sessions might look like, and what they’d do if things aren’t shifting. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so.
What happens between sessions.
If more than one clinician is working with you, they consult each other by default. They meet as a team every fortnight, and every active client is touched by the room. If your GP or Support Coordinator sent you, we send them a structured update — no free-text guesswork, no missed handovers.
How you’ll know it’s working.
You never repeat your story.
If a second clinician on our team joins in, they’ve already read your file. If you switch clinicians, the next one opens the session with what they already know about you.
We write reports you can actually read.
No clinical version and lay version. One document, plain words. Your GP reads the same thing you read.
We’ll tell you if it’s not working.
If we don’t think we’re the right fit, or the right discipline, we’ll say so — and help you find who is.
Common questions
Typically 50 minutes for adults, 45 for children. First sessions can run a bit longer.
No. You can book directly for any discipline. If you have a GP referral (Mental Health Care Plan or Chronic Disease Management Plan), bring it — it changes what Medicare covers.
Usually within 1–2 weeks for adults across most disciplines. Paediatric OT and speech can be longer — we’ll tell you honestly on the first call.
One tap, any time. We ask for 24 hours’ notice so we can offer your slot to someone on the waitlist. If life happens inside 24 hours, tell us — we’d rather you rescheduled than felt bad about it.
The new clinician reads your file first. They’ll open your first session with what they already know about you, and ask what’s shifted since. You don’t retell the whole thing.
Yes. A partner, a parent, an adult child, a support worker — whoever helps you think clearly. Just let us know when you book.
